Looking for a simple DSLR?
I am looking for a digital SLR that is simple like my old 35mm (Minolta SRT-101). I don't need auto mode or fancy toys. Just manual focus, interchangeable lenses, light meter, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Does anyone make a camera like this? I know that all DSLRs have these options, as well as the toys, but I won't use the extras and I'm trying to save money. Perhaps an older model?
I started looking for a good cheap dslr last october and the Sony a230l was the cheapest , best one I found. I Agree with the first responder and just don't use the auto functions. It is easy to use, lightweight and I believe the it will also accept most minolta lenses. It takes great pictures and the price was right..I believe it is now only $349. at walmart. below is a link to my flickr site to see some of the photos it takes.
